About me

Hi, I'm Ildi. When I look back, it feels like my journey to yoga was always quietly unfolding in the background — even when I didn’t realise it.
I began on the stage, graduating with a BA in Acting, chasing the magic of human connection through theatre and performance. I sang in my own band, played the Edinburgh Fringe, painted, wrote, created. Life for me has always been about expression — about finding ways to make the inside visible.

Then, yoga found me. What started as a personal practice soon became a calling. I completed over 500 hours of yoga teacher training, added restorative yoga, anatomy, and adjustment courses to my toolkit, and deepened my understanding of the body with Level 2 Fitness and a Higher National Certificate in Fitness, Health, and Well-being. I wanted to know everything — not just how to move, but how to move with awareness, safety, and purpose.

One chapter that changed everything was the time I spent living in a retreat in Norway. Every day was yoga, philosophy, community, and continuous learning. I learned that yoga is not just what happens on the mat — it’s in the way you walk, breathe, listen, and live.

Today, my classes are a blend of that stillness and strength, discipline and creativity. I weave in anatomy to help you understand your body, philosophy to help you connect with your mind, and creativity to remind you that movement can be an act of self-expression.

When I am not practicing yoga or teaching, I’m still creating — painting abstract art, writing stories (my first children’s novel is finished, and an adult fiction is in the works), and currently building an online business that is all about mindfulness and conscious living. Because whether it’s through art, words, music, or yoga, my aim is always the same: to help people feel more alive in their bodies, more grounded in their minds, and more connected to who they truly are.
